THE GOSPEL OF MARK: THE SUFFERING SERVANT
The Gospel of Mark might be one of the most neglected of the three Synoptic Gospels. It is by far the shortest, quickest Gospel and approximately 92% of Mark can be found in BOTH Matthew and Luke, so it's understandable that some pastors might choose a more comprehensive book to preach to their congregation.
But Mark provides an interesting perspective that is even more neglected in contemporary church...the idea that following Christ means the possibility of suffering the same things as Jesus. That being a Christian doesn't necessarily mean a life devoid of pain, heartache, and suffering. In fact, Mark is known as being the Gospel best known for its Suffering Servant themes. And if Servant Jesus would suffer so, how can we who follow Him think it will be any different for us.
In this study, we'll look at the life of Jesus through Mark's eyes (via Simon Peter) and get a bird's eye view of what it means to truly follow and serve Christ!

Starting Easter Sunday, April 5, children will now be having their own Sunday School during regular Bible Study time, starting at 9:30 AM. We offer two age groups: Kindergarten through third grade and fourth grade and up. Parents, while you’re bringing your kids to Sunday School, why not stay for fellowship and Bible study in the adult group as well?
While we encourage all children over pre-school age to sit with parents during worship service, we DO offer a nursery during worship service for parents who wish to take advantage of the service. Background checks are run on all nursery and Sunday School teachers and they are spiritually and morally vetted!
2 / EQUIP (Wednesday Discipleship Training)
Beginning Wednesday, April 1 2026, come join our discipleship training that we call EQUIP, starting at 6:30 PM. The Bible calls us to make disciples…and that involves equipping the saints for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12). For our first study, we’ll be going through ‘See For Yourself: How to Study Your Bible with Confidence and Joy’ by Jimmy and Kelly Needham.
